Transfer Orientation Fees & Payments

Transfer Orientation Fees & Payments

New Student & Family Programs does not receive funds from the State or UNC-Chapel Hill. New Student & Family Orientation operates on a self-sustained budget and must cover all related expenses for each participant.

Transfer Student Registration: $75.00

Transfer Family/Guest Registration: $45.00

Reservation Deadlines and Late Reservation Fees

In order to ensure a successful program for all our participants, participation numbers are confirmed with advising and campus partners well in advance and changing the guaranteed numbers can impact program fees. All sessions are on a first-come, first-served basis.

Transfer students attend a one-day program and should plan to be online with orientation from 9:30 a.m. ET until 6:10 p.m. for their session.

If you make your New Student & Family Orientation Reservation after Friday June 5, 2020 at 11:59 p.m., ET, a $50.00 late reservation fee will be charged.

Note: In cases where transfer students are admitted off the waitlist after June 5, the reservation deadline is extended.

Reservation Changes

Changes are able to be self-made to your New Student & Family Orientation Reservation until Friday, June 5, 2020 at 11:59 p.m., ET. After the June 5 deadline, there will be a $25.00 change fee and you will need to make a formal request for the change in writing by emailing

All formal change requests must be received no less than 10 business days before your scheduled Orientation date and there is no guarantee that your request can be accommodated. Orientation Session dates are scheduled on a first-come, first-served basis.
