What is FERPA?
FERPA (Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act) is a federal law in the United States that governs the privacy and security of student education records. Under FERPA, personally identifiable information may not be released from a student’s education records without his or her prior written consent. What tech support is available to my student?
The ITS Service Desk – Information Technology Services exists to provide support to students, faculty & staff:
- Problems with your computer, including viruses and laptop repair
- Issues with UNC software, like Microsoft 365 and Zoom
- Difficulties with UNC systems, like ConnectCarolina and Duo
- Trouble with IT services, including connecting to Wi-Fi or printing
