We encourage Family Weekend registrants will join us for this awesome opportunity! New for 2024, this mini conference brings campus experts to families and students to share information about topics that are most asked about. Demystify fraternity & sorority organizations, learn how Career Services readies students for interships, bust on- and off-campus housing myths, and dive into many of the safety resources available to your students.


A Look Into Fraternity & Sorority Life

Come learn about Fraternity & Sorority Life at Carolina and get to know the staff and ask questions. This session is open to families who currently have Fraternity & Sorority Life-affiliated students AND for those who have students interested in pursuing membership or just want to learn more.

Navigating Internships: A Guide for Carolina Families

Housing at Carolina: On- & Off-Campus Living

Many students and families are faced with planning on or off-campus housing for the next academic year. Hear from two campus experts on ways to navigate the options and processes of this decision-making process.

Information Fair: Get to Know Your Campus Safety Resources

  • 12:00PM – 2:00PM
  • Carolina Union room 2200 – The Art Gallery

Campus safety can be a hard and scary topic to think and learm about. The truth is feeling safer on and near campus is a foundation of being ready to learn and engage in the college expeirence. Visit this information fair to meet and learn about these critical resources in a fun and interactive way.

  • Violence Prevention & Advocacy Services (VPAS)
  • Equal Opportunity & Complaince (EOC)
  • UNC Police

BONUS: Visitors will be given a “passport’ card that helpd you visit with each table. Get you card signed by the office representatives, fill out your name and email, and drop it off at the Family Weekend Help Desk during Check-In hours to be entered into a prize drawing.
