Spring Family Day
For the first time ever, we're hosting a Spring Family Day! It's always a great day to be a Tar Heel at Carolina, especially in the springtime. We invite you to visit your student and experience campus together before their busy finals season begins. We'll offer a few events you can choose from on Saturday, April 13, 2024 and we encourage you to explore campus and downtown Chapel Hill while you're in town--see our growing list of 'Places of Interest' in our FAQ's.

Friday, April 12
UNC Baseball vs. Notre Dame - Game 1 ($)
6:00pm
UNC Athletics welcomes UNC Families to Spring Family Day as the Heels take on Notre Dame for a 3-game series.
$13 Ticket price includes a $5 concession voucher to be redeemed on gameday.
PlayMakers Presents 'The Game' ($)
7:30pm
Experience the world premiere of The Game, by Bekah Brunstetter and directed by Vivienne Benesch. Alyssa and Homer are in a marriage that’s hit a glitch. And it’s all due to the massively engrossing online game that’s wreaking havoc on the lives of couples everywhere. When she puts together a support group for other women in a similar situation, the game enters a new level where all’s fair in love and war. Don't miss out on Bekah Brunstetter’s (NBC’s This is Us”, Broadway’s upcoming “The Notebook”) hilarious and heartfelt performance that brings technology and community together in the most unexpected ways.

Carolina Skies at Morehead Planetarium (R, $, NSFP)
6:30-7:30pm
Relax in the Morehead Planetarium Star Theatre for a showing of Carolina Skies, which will surround you with thousands of stars, constellations, and planets. It is a UNC tradition that is out of this world!
Tickets are $14 each (including sales tax) and UNC students will need a ticket purchased for entry. Doors open at 6:15pm & the show begins at 6:30pm (no arrivals after the start of the show & seating is first-come, first-served). Location: 250 E Franklin St, Chapel Hill, NC 27514
Family Movie Night (R, $, NSFP)
7:00pm
Enjoy an outdoor movie night with the family at the Forest Theatre for a showing of the classic flick, Back to the Future (1985)! Tickets include movie snacks & pre-show performances by UNC students.
