First-Year Orientation Shuttles for Day 1

First-Year Orientation shuttles are only provided at the times and locations listed below. These are only available on Day One of Orientation where overflow parking may be used. We encourage you to walk, when possible, to get a better sense of campus and to replicate what many students experience moving from south campus to north campus daily.

NOTE: SHUTTLES ARE ONLY AVAILABLE ON ORIENTATION DAY 1* WHERE OVERFLOW PARKING IS MORE LIKELY NEEDED. SHUTTLES ARE NOT AVAILABLE FOR ORIENTATION DAY 2.

*Shuttles are NOT available on August 12 (Session 21). This session has a lower attendance and students are able to move in to their on-campus spaces early. We expect ample parking availability in Rams Parking Deck.

Morning Shuttle Details

  • One air-conditioned, 52-passenger shuttle, including 2 wheel-chair accessible spaces/seats.
  • The Shuttle runs 7:30am-10:00am on the circuit depicted below. The only typical exception is if the bus is full or reaches a minimum threshold to then start its route.

Southern Express is the Orientation shuttle provider. Look for this at the bus stop in the lower Manning Lot.

Manning Lot Stop

  • This lot has an upper and lower level. Please find the shuttle and covered waiting area in the lower level near the road.
  • The waiting area will have signage that indicates you are in the right location.

Evening Shuttle Details

  • One, air-conditioned, 52-passenger shuttle, including 2 wheel-chair accessible spaces/seats.
  • The Shuttle runs 7:30pm-8:00pm on the circuit depicted below. The only typical exception is if the bus is full or reaches a minimum threshold to then start its route.
  • The typical practice will be two trips from Morehead Planetarium to Rams Parking Deck and then Manning Lot

  • This stop allows families and guests to travel from Morehead Planetarium, after the Carolina Skies show, to Rams Deck and Manning Lot.
