How to Apply for Sponsored Membership

Applying to the Carolina Parents Council + Membership Fee Waiver

The Carolina Parents Council is a group of parents and families who are committed to supporting the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Membership in the Parents Council is $1,250 per family per year. However, we understand that not all families are able to pay this membership fee. If you are an interested family who cannot pay all or a portion of the membership fee, we encourage you to apply for a waiver.

NOTE: When you apply for a waiver, you will be asked to give permission for the New Student & Family Program to request feedback from the Office of Scholarship & Student Aid on your capacity level to pay a portion of the gift. This information will be used to determine whether you are eligible for a waiver.

Once you have submitted your application, the Carolina Parents Council leadership team will review your application. If selected to move forward, the Office of Scholarship & Student Aid will recommend a level at which the family will be asked to pay a portion (if any) of the membership fee.

If your application is ultimately selected, you will be notified with an invitation to join at the suggested fee level. This amount, and how to pay, will be included in the notification.
